“Wellness encompasses a healthy body, a sound mind and a tranquil spirit. Enjoy the journey as you strive for wellness.”

Coaching Beliefs

The coaching relationship is that of equals. Clients are not “broken” or needing “fixed.” Instead of prescribing what I think you should do, I help you find what works for you. It is my belief that everyone has the ability to change; to choose new habits, new thought patterns, and behaviors. True, sustainable behavior change is identity change.

About me…

Things that bring me joy

Coffee and gelato (equally!)

Riding bicycles (a lot!)

Living at Casa Lobo (our 40-acre home at the base of Hatcher Pass, Alaska)

My husband (this is not in preferential order, ha!).

I love reading, hiking, yoga, and admiring the beauty of the outdoors.

Real life

People in my community think of me as a successful endurance athlete. What most don’t know is that I have struggled with chronic fatigue, adrenal and thyroid dysfunction, gut dysbiosis, and hormonal issues. Obstacles being what they are (opportunities in disguise!) these health challenges are what led me to finding functional medicine. While the details of my story may be different from yours, my struggles have given me the gift of deep empathy for each of my client’s individual stories. It is my hope that my commitment to my own health will in turn inspire others to do the same.

Goals I’ve achieved

Discovering my life mission: To inspire and empower others to turn wellness into a lifestyle.

CRAFT Bike TransAlp, 8-day mountain bike stage race – Germany to Italy

Master’s Degree Project - Wilderness Therapy for Adolescent Girls

Denali (Mt. McKinley) Ascent

Fireweed 400-mile solo bike race, women’s record holder

  • "Before" coaching, I thought I paid attention to my intuition. "After" coaching I knew that I was not fully engaging the power of my intuition. Kristin helped me to listen more closely to my intuition and pointed out the need for me to focus on my North Star, my strengths.

  • “I was at a time in my life when I realized that as much as I KNEW what I needed to do to get my health on track, I was unable to do it on my own. I spoke with my healthcare provider who recommended Kristin as a Health Coach. Kristin has always made it very clear to me that this is my journey, and she is here to help me make the lifestyle changes that work for me. Our meetings help me to continue to focus and build on the changes that I am making. When I have been discouraged, Kristin reminds me of where I began, and reminds me that I am making real and lasting changes. I am grateful to have her support and feedback during my journey to better health.”

    — NB

  • Before I started coaching with Kristin, I was out of tune with my body & reasons for change. Even though I knew I was making unhealthy choices, I was disconnected to the consequences. Now, I am much more aware of how my choices affect my body and mind. It is easier to identify when I have strayed off my path and what needs to be done to course-correct.

  • The coaching experience exceeded my expectations. Kristin led discussions in a way that caused me to reflect on what I had perceived as barriers to my improvement. Krisin helped me strike the right balance between setting specific goals while also allowing enough flexibility so that I could be successful.

    — S

  • Since working with Kristin I am more confident in being aware of how eating and exercise affects my body. I have more motivation now with the knowledge that I have to move forward at this age.

    — L

  • When I have felt defeated, Kristin has been instrumental in pointing out the ways in which I have made many changes, and helps me to remember that this is a journey.

    — N

  • I would recommend Kristin because she is skilled in asking questions and leading conversations in a way that made me feel confident in my ability to reach my goals.

    — S

  • Coaching was valuable to me because it helped me to reevaluate how I define progress and to be a bit easier on myself while also setting concrete goals for improvement.

    — S

  • “If I could use one word to describe my experience, it would be inspirational. Kristin encouraged me to constantly remind myself of my personal mantras, allowing me to stay focused on my goals. Kristins coaching was extremely effective in helping me achieve my goals because she was a partner working alongside me rather than telling me what to do. I would recommend Kristin to anyone who is passionate about training and wants someone who can practically and emotionally support and inspire them along their journey.”
